Christopher Leigh Miles was welcomed Home by Jesus on Friday December 1st, 2023. He passed from this life peacefully, surrounded by his parents. He had just turned 43 years old. Chris grew up in New Ipswich, New Hampshire with his parents and siblings. He was a 3rd degree black belt in Karate and enjoyed participating in competitions. He also enjoyed cooking, which he learned more about from his good friend, Chef Dave Barry. He loved animals and always had a few cats and when possible, a dog. As an adult, he lived in Jaffrey, New Hampshire and was a proud member of the Legion. He loved the Lord Jesus and attended Harvest Christian Fellowship when he was able to.
He was proud to have served in the Army and the National Guard where he was trained as a weapons tech, a Medic and a helicopter pilot. He received a number of awards, several Army commendation medals, the Army achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar.
He survived by his parents Bruce and Cynthia LaFreniere; his brothers and their wives, Michael and Melanie Vincent, and Jonathan and Katelyn Vincent; his sister’s and their husbands, Michelle and Ronald Cutting, Jennifer and Robert Lacroix; and his nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Jessica, Isabella, Kaden, Joseph, Alissa, Jeremy, Elijah, Grace, and Madison.
Christopher’s ashes will be interred with military honors at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St. in Winchendon, MA on Friday, January 5th, at 2pm. Following that, there will be a service at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 1 Main Street in Jaffrey which will begin at 3:30. (Across the street from the Golden Wok restaurant).
