Claude Bourgault

Claude Bourgault, 74, of Greenville, NH, passed away on June 23, 2024, at Monadnock Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Claude was born in Saint-Pamphile, Québec, Canada on July 2, 1949, son of the late Mederic and Yvette (Chouinard) Bourgault.

Originally from Québec, Claude accepted a job in the United States following graduation from electrical school. Through this, Claude eventually met and married his beloved wife, Elaine Morneau, and they decided to stay and make their home here in Greenville, NH.

Claude spent the majority of his career working as a heat-treat furnace operator, and when he retired, he enjoyed various hobbies, with his favorite being woodworking. He also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, as well as reading, and taking drives in his Mustang, but nothing could rival the deep joy he felt when spending time with his family.

In addition to both parents, Claude was pre-deceased by his brother Gervais and sister Gemma Bourgault.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine (Morneau) Bourgault of Greenville, NH, his daughter Cynthia Bourgault of Greenville, NH, as well as his brothers Alain and Clement and a sister Julie, all of Québec, Canada.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 1:30PM to 2:30PM at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St., Jaffrey, NH, 03452.

A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor of Saint Patrick Church in Jaffrey will be officiating.

Burial will take place immediately following in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 29 Villa Rd, New Ipswich, NH 03071.
