Dean J. Martin

Dean J. Martin 54, of Jaffrey, NH died peacefully at his brother’s home on Saturday, March 21, 2026, after a brief period of failing health.

Dean was born in Washington, DC, on April 11, 1971, the son of Leonard and Carol Ann (Kopka) Martin. After Dean graduated from Merrimack (NH) High School, he attended numerous classes and became an IT Professional. This would propel him into the technical side of medical field, creating and maintaining the complicated networks in several area hospitals. Since the 1990’s Dean had worked for Boston Children’s Hospital and with the Boston Children’s Trust, and then eventually retired from Southern New Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Nashua after his health challenges prevented him from working.

Dean loved hiking and biking and always enjoyed riding his motorcycles. Traveling was another loved hobby and at one time Dean was able to travel completely across and around the United States visiting family and seeing the sights. He lived for the fun times spent with family and friends, whether through social gatherings, like taco Tuesdays, or gaming, and more. Dean was never afraid of a challenge and was always willing to lend a hand to others, no matter what task it was. At one point he shared his life with ‘Tiger’ his cat, for over 20 years.

Dean was predeceased by his mother, Carol Ann Martin.

He is survived by his father, Leonard Martin of Richmond, NH, and by his siblings, Eric and his wife Tina of Jaffrey, NH, and Cody, Walter, Helena, Bernadette, Leonard, David, and Theodore, as well as by many aunts, uncles’ nieces, nephews’ cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

Funeral services for Dean will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Merrimack Cremation Services, 10 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Dean will be buried with his mother at Saint Francis Xavier cemetery in Nashua at the convenience of the family.
