Dianna ‘Dee’ Aho, 42, of New Ipswich NH, a daughter of Fran and Linda Aho, also of New Ipswich, passed away on January 18, 2023, after a courageous 2-year battle with colon cancer.
Dee leaves behind the light of her life, her daughter Sophia, her sister Cherie and her “brother-in-law” Jim, with their children Kris, Derrick, Josh and Caitlin, her brother Scott and his wife Danielle with their children Sierra & Evan. She also leaves behind her 2 best friends: Eowyn Josef and her family and Becca Rakebrandt and her family and many aunts & cousins whom she loved dearly, friends and her awesome coworkers at Millipore!
Dee loved so many people and she was loved by many, she said there wasn’t enough time to write down everyone she wanted to individually mention in this obituary, and that you would know she meant you! She also loved going to concerts, going to the casino, having suppers with her friends and their children, writing poetry and she loved the beach.
With many thanks to Nancy Folsom - her hospice nurse, and Lisa Trempe, who not only helped to care for Dee during her days but also gave great support to Cherie and the family throughout Dee’s illness.
A celebration of life will be announced when warmer weather arrives, as Dee’s wishes were for us to celebrate her life with music, laughing, food and enjoying the warm weather together! We will be asking those that attend to bring with them a story or memory written/typed on paper, with a photo if possible for us to create a memory book for Sophia to forever have more details of her mom’s life.
In lieu of flowers, Dee wanted you to have some options (her sense of humor never ended) so she left this list:
A. Dee asks you to please get screened for colon cancer - early detection might have kept her here with us longer.
B. Donations can be made to Home Healthcare Hospice & Community Services 312 Marlboro Street Keene NH in memory of her.
C. GoFundMe is available for donations for Dee’s services and for care of her daughter: https://gofund.me/a20da126
