Duane Louis Boucher, 65, of Rindge, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, after a brief illness.
He was born on April 20, 1961, in Barre, VT, the son of Albert and Ina Boucher. Duane attended Mascenic High School and was a long-time resident of both New Ipswich and Rindge, NH.
A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent more than 40 years employed at Vanguard Manufacturing. Duane began his career there at just 16 years old alongside original founders Bob and Martin Somero, holding fond memories of their time together as he proudly worked his way up from an entry-level position to an executive role. He truly enjoyed the unique challenges and relationships that came with the business.
Beyond his professional success, Duane was known for his generous spirit. He loved helping others, and many were the recipients of his quiet gifts and acts of kindness. He also took great pride in his home, finding joy in working in his yard and always keeping it looking beautiful.
Duane is survived by his brother, James Boucher and his wife Gina of North Haverhill, NH; his sisters, Mary Krook and her husband Dennis Krook of New Ipswich, NH and Deborah Hart of Saint Johnsbury, VT, his aunt, Janet Puffer of Groton, VT, and his uncle, John Benzie of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. He also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ina Benzie, his brother, Bernard Boucher, and his canine companion Sasha.
A celebration of life will be held at the Congregational Church 156 Main St, New Ipswich, NH 03071 on Thursday, September 10, at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Duane’s name to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s Palliative Care Program, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
