Ethel Marie Stetson

Ethel M. Stetson, 76, of Peterborough, NH passed peacefully on November 23, 2022, at the Pheasant Wood Center.

She was born in Hanover, NH on January 3, 1946, daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Stetson. She grew up in Quechee, Vermont and moved to New Hampshire in 1962.

Ethel spent many years in the hospitality industry. She was a committed housekeeper for the Motor Inn of Peterborough for eleven years, working with many owners throughout that period. Later, she worked for the Brummer’s at the Woodbound Inn in Rindge as well as for many Peterborough families. Before retirement, Ethel worked as a housekeeper for Eleanor Briggs for about twenty years.

She enjoyed keeping her mind busy with crafting and puzzle books. Ethel was a loving caretaker who brought those caring qualities to her beloved dog, Shadow, and her many kitties.  She was a proud member of the Bennington Presbyterian Church and the Antrim Baptist Church.

Ethel is survived by her siblings, Dale Stetson of Houston, TX and Janice Frost of Jaffrey, NH, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her devoted friend Pam Carpentiere. Ethel was an intricate part of the Carpentiere family for many years attending special family events and Holiday gatherings.  

Ethel was laid to rest on May 22, 2023 in Pine Hill Cemetery, Peterborough, NH.
