Ferdinand ‘Fred’ Nicoletti, 91, of New Ipswich, and formerly of Bristol, CT, died peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Pheasantwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Peterborough, NH after a period of failing health.
Fred was born in Bristol, CT on September 21, 1924, son of the late Santo J. and Amalia (Morini) Nicoletti. He attended local schools before serving honorably with the U.S. Army during WWII.
Fred had worked as a Foreman with the W.L. Barrett Co. in Bristol for many years until retiring in 1986.
He enjoyed sports of all kinds, his trips to Florida, and his daily excursions with his friend Mike Grenier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Valley) Nicoletti and by his two brothers and three sisters.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Lisa Plaisted of New Ipswich, and his grandchildren David R. and Rebecca M. Plaisted.
Family and friends are warmly invited to calling hours on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, (Rte. 202) in Jaffrey NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 am in St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev. Wilfred H. Deschamps, pastor, will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered following the Mass.
Burial at the convenience of the family will be in the family lot at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Bristol, CT.
