Janet M. Blair, 69, of Harrisville, NH, died peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on January 22, 2024.

Janet was born on May 26, 1954, in Fitchburg, MA, the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Boucher) Leger. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg in 1972.

Janet was a paralegal for many years before becoming a school administrator. She worked at Keene High School, and then at Fuller Elementary in Keene, for many years until her retirement on December 31, 2017.

In her younger years, Janet and her husband, Robert, coached various ages of girls' youth soccer in Keene. She was always an advocate for young women.

In the summer, Janet loved being at her house on Chesham Pond. She spent many hours entertaining family, friends and especially her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored. She was an amazing and resourceful cook who always provided spectacular meals.

Janet regularly played golf at Monadnock Country Club in Peterborough, NH where she also worked in the pro shop.  Her customers always loved her outgoing personality. She enjoyed everything outdoors, including her rocking chair on the porch overlooking Chesham Pond.

In the winter, Janet enjoyed being in Florida. Initially, she and her husband enjoyed RV camping, before purchasing their home in Wildwood, FL. She golfed at the Continental Country Club and worked in the pro shop there as well. Janet attended many exercise classes and did crafts. Her favorite Monday night activity was playing bar bingo with her Florida friends. Through the years, Janet also enjoyed many trips and cruises.
