Jeffrey Dean Reed, 58, of New Ipswich, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, in the comfort of his home, after a period of declining health.
He was born in Sharon, PA, on January 21, 1959, to Dean S. and Dorothy L. (Maul) Reed. He grew up in Brookfield, OH, and was a 1977 graduate of Brookfield High School. He graduated in 1979 from Youngstown State University.
He married Gloria Jean Tranovich, in a ceremony in Youngstown, on August 15, 1981. In 1984 the family moved to Massachusetts, where he began a career in the Electrical Contracting industry, starting out as an estimator and working up to a Project Manager for MEC Electrical.
Mr. Reed liked to fish as well as play his guitar. He would hunt occasionally, but if he had any spare time, it was spent with his family. Time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren was most important to him.
He is survived by his wife, of 35 years: Gloria J. Reed, of New Ipswich, his two daughters: Melissa Tapp of South Hadley, MA and Christa Reed of Dudley, MA; his brother: John Reed; and a sister: Linda Lewnes, both of Florida; 3 grandchildren: Jacob, Kaylee and Owen; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service, celebrating his life, will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 10:00 am, at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River St. in Jaffrey, NH. Friends and family will be welcomed to celebrate the life of Jeffrey on this day. Burial will happen at a later date.
