Judith H. Keurulainen

Judith Hilma Keurulainen, 78, of Jaffrey, N.H., passed away on March 21, 2024, with her family by her side. Daughter of the late Arvi & Geraldine (Halfpenny) Keurulainen, Judy was born October 24, 1945, in Peterborough, NH.

Judy was a 1963 graduate of Appleton Academy in New Ipswich, NH. Upon graduating, she found her professional calling in real estate. Judy’s passion led her to open her own business and have a successful 30-year career as “Judy K Real Estate “of New Ipswich. As a long-time Monadnock community resident, she was valued for her professionalism and client commitment, having established herself as a trusted and reliable realtor in the area.

As a devoted New England sports fan, Judy enjoyed watching and cheering for her much loved sports teams…Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox. Her additional activities that she followed and always put a smile on her face were watching or attending NASCAR races and visiting Foxwoods often with friends. When she was not focused on these hobbies, Judy loved more than anything spending time with her beloved family and many friends. She often joined them for leisure gatherings at Kimballs and other local restaurants.

Judy is survived by her son, Brandon Reisert, Richmond, NH, her daughter, Amy Reisert and her fiancé, David Van Blarcom, Rindge, NH. She is also survived by her brothers and their spouses, Richard Keurulainen, of Jaffrey, NH, David & Donna Keurulainen, of New Ipswich, NH, and John & Karen Keurulainen, of Sharon, NH; sisters and spouses, Nancy & Jon Gangloff of Friendswood, TX, Joanne & Matti Perkio of Lantana, FL, Janice & Jon Brockelbank of West Burke, VT, and Debra & Rick Hakala of New Ipswich, NH, three grandchildren, Corey Reisert of NH, Breanna & Mark Silk of VT, and Lyle & Katie Greig of Jaffrey, NH, two great-grandchildren, longtime friend, Richard Heywood, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452. Judy’s Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 4:00pm. Pastor Dagan Siepert, of New Ipswich Our Redeemer Chapel will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to Juvenile Diabetes Research at The Ammon Center, 175 Ammon Dr, Manchester, NH 03103, or to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 W Swanzey Rd, Swanzey, NH 03446.
