Julie (Cramb) Pillsbury was known for her boundless generosity and creativity. An avid maker, she spent countless hours creating beauty for those around her. She loved seeking the next idea she might set her mind and heart to and make her own. A person of many talents, sewing, crocheting, knitting, beading, painting, and so much more—she always had multiple projects ready to capture her attention.
Sometimes food was her chosen “love language,” and she spent hours pickling cucumbers, making chocolate-no-bake cookies, or preparing another specialty she knew she could treat someone she loved with. When visiting her children and grandchildren for extended periods, she left meals tucked away in the freezer for them to enjoy after her departure. Julie returned love and compassion with radiating devotion and care that came purely from her soul.
A lover of life, Julie possessed a light heart, finding fun and beauty everywhere she went and good company in everyone she met. She was always ready for adventure—no matter how long, far, or complicated—especially when it offered uninterrupted time with her husband, Roland Pillsbury, whom she married on August 19, 2006, and who survives her.
At times, “adventure” meant working with her daughter and her partner on their farm, waiting to see what interesting experiences nature would bring their way; being with her New Hampshire granddaughters for whatever reasonable “good trouble” they wanted to get into with their grandmother (or grandparents); or driving to Florida to be with the grandchildren there for a week of “spoiling.” Being a grandmother brought Julie great joy.
Julie was born on October 18, 1959, to the late Judith (Raymond) Tieger. Julie adored her mother and was proud to have Marc Tieger as her father. When he remarried, Julie happily embraced Sharon Donaway Tieger as “Mom.” Her relationship with her stepmother, the late Ruth Cramb, was enduring and deepened throughout Julie’s adult years.
In addition to her mother and stepmother, Julie was predeceased by her former husband, Wayne Kullgren; her brother-in-law, Wayne Rathburn; and her birth father, Donald Cramb.
Julie is survived by her children and grandchildren: Stacey Kullgren and her partner, Sue Vincent, of Winchester, NH; Joni Schoeneck, her husband Ryan, and their children, Leo and Alexandra, of Coral Springs, FL; Samantha Pillsbury, her fiancé, Skylar Armstrong-White, and her children, Celena, Kaya, and Ciara, of Antrim, NH; and Shawn Kullgren of Greer, SC, and his daughter, Jayden Taylor, of Jaffrey, NH. She is also survived by six siblings: Alan Raymond and his wife Gale of Naples, ME; Donald Cramb and his wife, Linda, of Jaffrey, NH; Sandra Rathburn of Jaffrey, NH; Aaron Riverwood of Shelburne Falls, MA; Chris Cramb of Rindge, NH; and Timothy Cramb and his wife, Jane, of Cheyenne, WY. Julie was proud of her extended family and to be an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Julie passed in the early morning of January 29, 2026 after a rapid and unexpected decline in her health. Surrounded by family and close friends in her final days, she was held in the love she so freely gave throughout her life. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, living on in their memories and in the love they extend from themselves.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marlborough House, 9 Ling Street, Marlborough, NH. Following the service, at approximately 3:00 p.m., refreshments will be served; the community is welcome to attend either or both. The family is grateful to the Rev. Bill Beardslee of Warren, NH, for officiating.
Julie’s family asks that those who wish to make a gift to honor her, do so by giving to the Jaffrey/Rindge Got Lunch Program by sending a check in its name to the First Congregational Church in Rindge, P.O. Box 451, Rindge, NH 03461, with her name in the memo line.
