June Y. Thomforde

June Y. Thomforde, 84, of New Ipswich, NH, passed away peacefully at the Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Friday, May 9, 2025.

June was born on June 9, 1940, in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Philip and Olive (Turner) Tyler.

In her early years, June’s adventurous spirit was evident as she began driving tractors and trucks at the tender age of 14. This early start reflected determination and independence that fueled her lifelong career. June had dedicated many years of her life to being an assembler at Millipore, where she remained unwavering in her dedication until her retirement in 2003.

Outside of her professional life, June had an enduring affinity for nature. She cherished horses and shared her love for riding with her beloved daughter. She dedicated herself to landscaping and took great pride in meticulously caring for her garden and yard. Her love for the outdoors was reflected in the vibrant blooms and lush greenery that surrounded her home, a testament to her nurturing spirit.

In addition to her parents, June is predeceased by her brother Gerald and her stepdaughter Regina.

June is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Duane Thomforde, and by her daughter, Cathy Tremblay, her sons, Michael and Thor Thomforde, and her brothers, Jim and John Tyler. June will also be missed by her grandsons, Robert and Richard White, and by her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lexus, and Adeline White.

A graveside service will be held for June on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Smithville Cemetery, Binney Hill Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071. All are welcome to join her family in remembering June.
