Kathleen 'Kathy' Reddy

Kathleen M. Reddy, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Jack Byrne Hospice Center in Lebanon, NH.

Kathy was born on February 24, 1943, in Peterborough, NH, the daughter of John and Katherine (O’Neil) Reddy.

She graduated from Conant High School in 1961. Following her high school years, Kathy went on to join the United States Air Force Auxiliary, as a participant in the Civil Air Patrol of the Jaffrey Squadron, where she obtained the rank of Major. Following this experience, Kathy would go back to school for nursing where she would receive a degree in nursing from Binghamton University and then continue with her passion for learning to receive a master’s degree in health services administration from the University at Albany.

Kathy found great joy in her career as a nurse working in emergency rooms and critical care units before moving to a desk job working for the state of New York investigating doctors.

Beyond her professional life, Kathy was an adventurous spirit. She had moved frequently; over 30 times! She also loved to travel and took many cruises with her brother and other family members and friends. She had many other passions and interests which included her animal friends, dogs and horses, motorcycles and music. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed visiting a pub with friends to listen to Irish music and swap stories. One of her greatest joys was grilling on the deck of her house watching her dog playing in the yard below as she looked out at the mountains in the distance and cherished any time spent with family and friends around the table.

In addition to her parents, Kathy is predeceased by her husband, Roger Chilton, and by her brother, Michael Reddy.

Kathy is survived by her siblings, John (Kim) Reddy of Londonderry, NH, and Jane (James) Dzierzanowski of Peabody, MA. She is also survived by her cousins, Maureen (Steve) Schug of Beverly, MA, Susan (Edward) Kobel of Oviedo, FL, Marilyn (Thomas) Sorenson of Middleburg, FL, Rev. Dr. Bruce (Patience) Stevenson of Bethlehem, PA, John (Rosemary) Tobin of Belmont, MA, and Virginia Driscoll of Attleboro, MA.

Kathy’s services will be held in the nicer weather and will be announced in the spring when they are finalized.
