Kenneth W. Elliott, 69, formerly of Jaffrey, NH died unexpectedly on Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio after a sudden illness.
‘Kenny’ was born on November 25, 1947 in Peterborough, NH, son of the late William G. Elliott and Elsie M. Elliott of Jaffrey. He was a 1965 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey and later enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country honorably in the Vietnam War as an Aircraft Mechanic.
For more than 30 years, Kenny had worked as a Machinist at W.W. Cross Co. in Jaffrey and remained with the company when it closed the Jaffrey location and moved to Canton, OH. He retired in 2013. He had been a long time member and former Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 5613 in Jaffrey. He was also a Life Member of the John Humiston American Legion Post #11 in Jaffrey. He loved to read, play pool and be around friends.
In addition to his mother, Kenny is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jeane M. Elliott of Canton, OH; his son Lonn J. Elliott of Francestown, NH; his brother Gerald G. Elliott of Jaffrey, and his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be missed by all.
A Calling Hour will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:00 Noon at the Cournoyer Funeral Home at 33 River Street in Jaffrey. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Mark Koyama, Pastor of the United Church of Jaffrey will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Conant Cemetery in Jaffrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenny’s name to the American Red Cross.
