Kevin Somero, 64, of New Ipswich, NH passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home on December 3, 2022.
He was born November 2, 1958, in Peterborough, NH son of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Somero. Kevin grew up in New Ipswich and graduated from Mascenic Regional High School in 1977. In high school, he began working in the construction industry, first for Vanguard Manufacturing, then Superior Drywall, Dan Kuusisto Painting, Boss Contractors and most recently Seppala Construction. He was a dedicated, conscientious employee.
On May 15, 1993, Kevin married Nancy Seppanen and they were blest with three children.
Kevin was a lifelong member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church of New Ipswich and was firm in his faith. He was an example of honesty and dedication in providing for his family. He enjoyed being an outdoorsman and was particularly fond of hunting, fishing, and maple sugaring which he enjoyed sharing with others. Traveling to visit family was another way Kevin enjoyed spending his time.
Kevin is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Elizabeth Somero, and his sister-in-law Bernice Somero.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his sons, Craig Somero of New Ipswich, Tyler (Amy) Somero of Bryant, SD; and daughter Angela (Caleb) Seppanen of Bryant, SD; four special-to-him grandchildren: Lane and Nika Seppanen, Myles Somero, and a baby due in February, his siblings: Brian Somero of New Ipswich, Roger (Cathy) Somero of New Ipswich, and Colleen (John) Ruotsala of New Ipswich; Uncle Noland Smith of San Diego, CA, and Aunt Viviene and Don Lawson of Orange Lake, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Apostolic Lutheran Church, 117 Goen Road, New Ipswich, NH. Burial will take place immediately at the Smithville Cemetery in New Ipswich, NH.
