Kristina Rose Gerry, beloved daughter, partner, artist, teacher, writer, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at the age of 34.
Kristina was born on May 19th, 1991 in Leominster, Massachusetts and grew up in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, a place that always felt like home to her. She attended schools locally and later lived in Worcester and Fitchburg, gathering stories, community, and inspiration along her journey, before returning to Ashburnham, where her roots and soul remained deeply planted.
Kristina grew her love for art at the age of four, when she first slipped on a pair of tiny dance shoes and stepped into a studio. What began as simple, joyful movement quickly blossomed into a passion as she explored ballet, tap, and other styles, each one teaching her rhythm, discipline, and grace. Through dance, she learned that art was more than performance—it was a language of the soul. The studio and stage became a place where she could express what words could not, and in time, that early love of movement opened the door to a lifelong understanding of art as her truest form of self-expression.
Kristina was an eloquent and expressive artist in every sense of the word. From a young age, art was always her greatest creative joy and primary focus. Pairing her talents with pure grit, she became a glassblowing artist and teacher, sharing not only her technical skill but her passion and encouragement with others. She was also an author, a great writer, digital artist, and a lifelong creator—always finding ingenious ways to translate insight, feeling, and beauty into form.
Reading was another early and prominent love for her, with writing being close behind. She also delighted in collecting and thrifting, discovering hidden treasures and stories in overlooked places. She found joy in the arts of all kinds—museums, theater, concerts in grand venues or small rooms, and most often the ones that unfolded right in the living room. Cooking was another of her creative languages, a way she expressed love, care, and connection through a delicious shared meal. While on the topic of expression, something that cannot be ignored was her impeccable sense of fashion and skincare, always such a literal vibe.
People naturally gathered around Kristina. She had a radiant personality that drew others in and made them feel seen. She loved fiercely and openly, and she wanted nothing more than to share everything she loved with the people she cherished. She was so darn funny—a fabulous storyteller with a sharp wit and a real talent for turning the mundane into unforgettable moments.
Above all, Kristina was profoundly empathetic. She was deeply connected with those around her, meeting others with understanding, tenderness, and a rare emotional honestly. To be known by her was to be truly known.
Kristina's absence leaves an immeasurable space, but her love, laughter, creations, and stories remain, woven into the lives of all who were lucky enough to be drawn into her orbit. Her persistent light emanates and burns eternal.
Kristina is survived by her mother Cynthia Gerry, her partner Peter Rodericks, and her three lovely cats Eleanor, Jack, and Hamilton.
Service Info: There will be no calling hours or formal services at this time. Kristina has chosen to be laid to rest at Life Forest in Hillsborough, NH in the spring, and celebration of her life will be held at that time.
