Laura A. Pratt

Laura A. Pratt, 70, of Jaffrey, died peacefully while surrounded by her family, on Monday, September 20, 2021, after a brief period of failing health.

She was born on October 23, 1950, in Peterborough, a daughter of the late Ernest and Olivine (Cote) Lafleur. Laura was a 1968 graduate of Conant High School and a lifelong resident of Jaffrey.

In addition to raising her family, Laura had always worked locally, retiring from Millipore in 2015 after many years as a Supervisor and Human Resources Representative.

She always enjoyed nature, feeding and watching her birds, and driving endlessly at dusk looking for deer. Laura will always be remembered for her caring ways, especially for the tender love shown for all of her family members’ flowers at their graves, as well as for her sense of humor and her reflections on the latest hairstyles.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Michelle Pratt of Hancock, and by her son and his wife, Michael and Ann-Marie Pratt of Jaffrey, her grandchildren whom she adored, Sarah, Mary-Elizabeth, Bethany, Brandyn and Michael, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no calling hours
A graveside service will be conducted on October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the family lot at Conant Cemetery on Stratton Road in Jaffrey. Rev. Mark Koyama, Pastor of the United Church of Jaffrey will officiate.
