Lucas Immanuel Seppala, 41 passed away quietly and unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
Lucas was born on July 7, 1980, in Fitchburg, MA to David and Anna-Leena Seppala, and was raised in Rindge, NH. He was a graduate of Victory High School in Jaffrey, and earned a Certificate in Computer Repair while attending Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner.
Lucas never married, but he was rich with family and was the favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He loved spending time with his family, hiking in the mountains, fishing, shopping, and finding great ice cream together. He had a gentle soul who could never say no to anyone.
He was a lifelong member of the Ashburnham Apostolic Lutheran Church, and enjoyed visiting all of the other churches in the area. Lucas particularly enjoyed traveling and hiking with various church groups, singing hymns and celebrating the work of Christ while visiting Israel, the Kentucky Noah’s Ark, and many other places of interest. He also loved traveling to Finland and South Carolina to visit with his family. Lucas was a supportive friend to many, and was loved by all who knew him.
Lucas was preceded in death by his sister, Maria Anna, his grandparents, Sylvia and Arthur Seppala and Pirkko Jamsa, and by his niece, Addison Rose.
In addition to his parents, David and Anna-Leena Seppala of Rindge, NH, Lucas is also survived by his sister Nina Katariina Mackrain and her husband Jacob, of Jaffrey; and by his brothers, Tony Seppala and his wife Maria of Taylors, SC, Matti Seppala and his wife Tyra of Taylors, SC, Timo Seppala and his wife Julia of Lyman, SC, and Pauli Seppala and his wife Sabrina of Jaffrey, and 19 beloved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Ashburnham Apostolic Lutheran Church, 315 Winchendon Rd, Ashburnham, MA 01430. A funeral service will immediately follow calling hours at 11:00 a.m., and a graveside committal will take place at approximately 1:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, on Goddard Road in Rindge, NH.
