Michele Monique Chadbourne, 49 of Jaffrey, NH passed away on Thursday, September 28th 2017. Michele spent her final moments at home surrounded by her family. She passed peacefully, knowing that those she loved were together to be with her and support each other.
She was born in Boston, Mass on June 3, 1968, the daughter of James Nadeau and Francoise Carey (Janelle). She grew up in Wells, Maine, was a 1986 graduate of Wells High School and in 1990 earned a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College. In 2013, she earned her Special Education Teaching Certificate.
Michele lived in this world genuinely, positively affecting every person she met. Michele loved the beach; the ocean was always close to her heart. She spent the past two years seizing every opportunity to be by the sea, bringing together her family and friends for magical moments that will never be forgotten. She was often referred to by her immediate family as “the glue”.
She shared her experiences freely and lovingly in person and on Facebook, hoping to help and encourage others, and always staying positive and true to her mantra “I’ve got this!” Her courage to face life’s challenges was unwavering, inspiring all to follow her lead and do their very best.
Michele immersed herself in her community and had been a beloved member of the Jaffrey-Rindge School District. In addition to following her girls to games and championships, she ‘adopted’ many other students along the way, cheering for them as she did for her own daughters. She also gave of herself completely to many other projects within and around the schools – these events will not be the same without her.
She will be missed incredibly, and remembered tenderly as a wonderful wife of 27 years, a devoted mother to three beautiful girls, a loving sister, an adored daughter, a dedicated friend, an amazing teacher, and an active community member.
