Nancy Lee (Wiik) Barry, of New Ipswich, NH was called home to the Lord on January 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 21, 1951, in Peterborough, NH, daughter of the late Toivo and Shirley (Aho) Wiik.
Nancy was a Charter member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. On June 4, 1951, she received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. In March 1967, she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed. She received the precious gifts of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years. She was a blessed caretaker, always thoughtful and giving to others. Her favorite things were going to church, her family, going for walks and shopping with the girls. She took pleasure in preparing meals for family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother Leslie in 1966.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim Barry of New Ipswich, NH and her brother Stanley Wiik of Wilton, NH. She was blessed with the gift of three loving children and her beloved eight grandchildren; Jonathan Barry and his wife Kelly and their children; Sean and Eve of Kingston, MA, Jessica (Barry) Goodrich and her husband Mark and their children; Jacob, Ryan, Emily and
Melissa of New Ipswich, NH and Michael Barry and his wife Coleen and their children; Paige and Brooke of Hampton, NH, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street Jaffrey, NH 03452. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 Ashby Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071.
Services will be officiated by Rev. Dagan W. Siepert, Pastor.
