Norman A. Lambert

Norman A. Lambert, 86, of Jaffrey, NH, was surrounded by his family when he died peacefully at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2024, after a period of failing health.

Norman was born at the farm he lived in, on December 6, 1937. He was the son of the late Wilfred and Aldea (LaBrie) Lambert. He attended local schools and graduated from the Catholic Seminary in 1955. Later, Norman attended Keene State College, and graduated with a degree in teaching. He went on to teach social studies for many years, both locally and across New Hampshire, retiring at the turn of the millennium.

Norman enjoyed working on his farm throughout his life. He had only moved away briefly a few times to teach in other school districts, but always came home to his farm in Jaffrey. If he wasn’t teaching or working at his farm, music filled the rest of his time. Norman played keyboard and sang in several local bands for over 50 years. Bands like ‘The Keymen’ and ‘Now and Then’, and he was the Choir Director at St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey for over 40 years. Norman also found time to volunteer for the Jaffrey Fire Department and was an active member for over 14 years.

Norman now joins the love of his life, Patricia Healy, who died on September 16, 2021.

He is also predeceased by his brothers, Arthur Lambert, Wilfred 'Fid' Lambert, and R. Bruce Smith.

He is survived by his 2 daughters: Dianne Lambert of Jaffrey, and Becky Lambert of Bennington, NH, and by his 3 sons: Dan Lambert and his wife Betsy, and Mark Lambert and his wife Heather, all of Jaffrey, and Kenney Lambert of Jacksonville, Florida, and their families. Norman is also survived by his sister, Alice Pineault of Jaffrey, NH, his nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
