Richard A. Killmer

Richard Alan Killmer, 83 died at his home in Rindge on Saturday, January 16, 2016 after a brief illness.

Richard was born on April 8, 1932 in Harvey Illinois, he was the son of George Frederick Killmer, and Mayme Antonia (Lundmark) Killmer. Richard grew up in Harvey and attended High School there. He then attended Purdue University in W. Lafayette Indiana and graduated there in 1954 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was married to his first wife, Virginia (Neal) Killmer in June of 1954. He served a stint in the U.S. Army as an electronics specialist, and after being discharged he worked for Goodyear Aerospace in Texas. In 1958 he and Virginia moved to Long Island, New York where he was hired by Sperry Aerospace (Unisys) as an electrical engineer. He worked there until 1992 when he retired. Virginia passed away in 1997. Richard was remarried to Laura (Czerwinski) Killmer. They moved to Rindge, New Hampshire in 1994. Richard is survived by his wife Laura and his three children; Pamela Knight of Pecos, Texas; Janet Elliott of Midland, Texas; and David Killmer of Rindge, New Hampshire.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
