Robert 'Bob' A. Dostaler

Robert A. Dostaler, 65 of Antrim, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, after a long illness. His last day was spent surrounded by loved ones.

His life was lived admirably as a loving and dedicated son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

His selflessness and open heart extended not only to family and friends, but he provided support, protection and love to all who came through his doors as he opened his home, warmly welcoming all and being a “surrogate” father to many.

Once he loved you, you were family.

Robert was a Second-Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1983, but his greatest legacy is that of his three sons, whom he raised by example, to be hard-working, loving and kind and taught them to face life with humor, grace, strength and dedication to family, as he always had.

He is survived by his sons and their families, Nicholas and Elizabeth Dostaler and their children, Carter and Lucas, Robert J. and Amanda Dostaler and their children Oliver and Killian, Nathaniel Dostaler and his fiancé, Abigail Wilson, as well as his sisters and brothers in law, Marilou and Glenn Brown, Corrie and Patrick Tamburro, Kristina and John Germano, nieces Chelsey, Lily and Laney and nephew, Ben and his fiancé Jacklyn, as well as countless friends.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, A. Robert and Marilyn M. Dostaler and his nephew, Jake Germano, and is now at peace alongside them in Heaven along with his beloved dog, Mattis.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 9:00AM to 10:30AM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River St, Jaffrey, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Church, 87 Main St. Jaffrey, NH. Military honors will take place following Mass.
