Sarah Leel of New Ipswich passed peacefully at home Wednesday, December 8, 2021, after a period of declining health.
Sarah was born January 8, 1953, the youngest of two daughters to the late Aarne and Ruth (Jones) Siren. Sarah grew up in New Ipswich where she lived her entire life.
Sarah was an avid reader and would easily read five books in a week. Sarah also enjoyed vacations in Pittsburgh with her family. She enjoyed sitting by the lake, listening to the loons, boat rides around the lake, looking for eagles and scouting for moose.
Sarah worked at Scott Farrar Home in Peterborough for over 30 years, where she met her best friend Beth, with whom she grudgingly enjoyed many shopping excursions as well as their trip to Texas.
In addition to her parents, Sarah is predeceased by her sister Sandra Siren.
Sarah is survived by her husband of 51 years, George “Butch” Leel Jr, her children Heather Leel and John Leel, her grandchildren Jessica Carignan and Ethan Oja and her great grandchildren Trey White and Thatcher Cormier.
At Sarah’s request there will be no services; she will be missed.
