Scott A. Lambert, 62, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his family after a brief and valiant battle with cancer on November 20, 2023.

Scott was born in Fitchburg, MA, on January 25, 1961. The only son of the late Wilfred ‘Fid’ and Eleanor (Ouellette) Lambert, he was warmly referred to as “my little man”, by his parents. He was raised in Jaffrey and graduated from Conant High School with the class of 1979. Coming from a family where music was a natural gift, Scott had a beautiful tenor voice and was an excellent trombone player. Scott enlisted with the U.S. Army as a motor transport operator. He achieved the rank of E-5 with numerous commendation medals. He served Stateside and in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1985. He was a lifetime member and past commander of the John Humiston American Legion Post #11.

Scott was a truck driver for local companies, such as Sangermano Oil and the Town of Rindge before working for the United States Postal Service as a clerk in Rindge, Milford, and Dublin. He was Postmaster in Greenfield before becoming Postmaster in Harrisville, where he was hoping to retire.

A true outdoorsman, Scott was an avid hunter, and looked forward to opening day every year. Scott loved farming and gardening. He will be remembered for having the best garden in Jaffrey where people would stop by and admire his talents. Scott always enjoyed raising and growing the food he provided for his family and friends. He had a soft spot in his heart for all of his animals, especially his eight dogs. His love for the Celtics and all New England teams goes without saying, as does his sense of humor, quick wit and off-color jokes, which will certainly be missed by so many.

Scott is survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years, Anne (Stevenson) Lambert and by his 3 beautiful children; Nicole and her husband Michael Sweeney of Thomaston, CT, Kathryn and her husband Michael Dame of Greer, SC and Wilfred Lambert of Jaffrey. Along with his children Scott leaves behind his 5 grandchildren; Kiera Sweeney, Holden Williams, Kiley Sweeney, Briar Williams and Asher Sweeney. He also leaves behind his sisters Candace and her husband, Calvin Kilduff, Patricia Lambert, Debra and her husband, Kim Hall, Kathryn Lambert-Kamm and her husband, Kevin Kamm, Michelle and her husband, Scott Lafortune, and by his nieces and nephews, Megan Kilduff and her husband, Timothy Boughan, Jason Kilduff, Joshua Motuzas, Kate and her husband, Matthew Somero, Jenny Motuzas, Heather (Hall) Burt, Jeffrey Hall and

his wife, Jennifer, Matthew Gauthier, Chantal Lafortune and Claudia Lafortune and by a large extended family including his Uncle Norman Lambert, Aunt Alice Pineault, his special cousin, Dennis Lambert and many more great nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
