Shauna Dunton Altamirano

Shauna J. Altamirano, 30, of Keene, NH died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH with her family by her side.

Shauna was born on February 14, 1986 in Keene, NH, daughter of the late George F. Dunton, III and Brenda (Burgoyne) Dunton. She was raised in Troy and attended local schools. She had enjoyed working at various locations in the greater Monadnock Region in addition to being a mom.

Shauna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, walking and socializing. She especially enjoyed cheering for the New York Yankees, much to the dismay of her family.

In addition to her mother, of Jaffrey, Shauna is survived by her son Daymein Altamirano of Keene, her brother Christopher Dunton of Thonotasassa, Florida; her step-brothers, George Dunton, IV of Tennessee and Christopher M. Dunton of Long Beach, California; her maternal grandmother, Priscilla Casey of Jaffrey, NH and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Shauna’s life will take place on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Good Neighbor Fund, PO Box 486, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
