Steven Alan Roberts, 73, of Jaffrey, NH, passed away unexpectedly at home, shortly after the loss of his son, Nathan Roberts.
Born in Winchendon, MA, Steve was the son of Norman A. Roberts and Janet Roberts. He graduated from Murdock High School in 1970 and spent his career working in local manufacturing, where he was known for showing up, getting the job done, and keeping things interesting.
Steve moved to Jaffrey, NH nearly 50 years ago and lived life on his own terms. He was independent and opinionated, with an irreverent sense of humor that could catch you off guard and make you laugh. He enjoyed bowling, mini golf, trips to Old Orchard Beach and Camp Ellis in Maine, and hunting for treasures at Rietta Ranch flea market. He also faced a number of medical issues in recent years, which he met with the same stubborn determination that defined much of his life. He appreciated the simple things and valued his routines.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Roberts; his siblings, Alan Roberts, Mary-Lou Roberts, Janeal Shepard, and Melissa Littlefield; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Holly (Dwyer) Roberts; his son, Nathan C. Roberts; and his father, Norman A. Roberts.
A private family service will be held for Steve and his son.
