Thomas H. Decker

May 29, 1948 — November 28, 2022

Thomas H. Decker 74, of Jaffrey has left this earthly world and is now in eternity in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed on November 28th, 2022


Tom’s walk with Jesus was evident with his studying of God’s Word, and the many people he helped along the way to become followers of Jesus Christ. He was a Recovery Coach, and has helped drug addicts, alcoholics, marriages, and anyone who was in need. He provided shelter for the homeless. And fed the hungry. Worked at the Compassion Food Pantry for 15 Years. He worked in the prison system teaching the Bible and visiting with the inmates. He was a Stephen’s ministry leader and a deacon at Renew Church where he attended. He also helped with the youth group. Tom was working with healthcare up until the time he needed healthcare. Tom grew up in Oneonta, NY. Went to SUNY-Albany. His family owned Decker’s Bakery in Oneonta New York. He owned and managed many restaurants including Casey J’s in Fitzwilliam, The Mountain View and Troy diner. He was manager at Mr. Mike’s in Fitzwilliam for several years. He loved watching and cheering on the NE Patriots and Red Sox.


He is predeceased by his parents William Howard and Margaret Wilcox Decker, his brother John, his sister Janet Darling, and stepson Michael Fleming.


He leaves behind his loving wife, Lucille (Lou) Decker, his son, Casey Decker and wife Laura of TX, his stepdaughter, Danni Fleming and fiancé Craig of NH, his friend, Ron Leonard and wife Patty of MA, his stepchildren, Keith McDonald and girlfriend Maria of NH, Scott Parent and wife Jessi of NH, and Nathan Parent and friend Justine of NH. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Christian, Liam, Sawyer, Hazel, Brodie, and Aliyah, and by his siblings, Carol Forman-Pemberton and husband David of NY, Kathleen Byrum and husband Craig of NY, Marianne Carter and husband Kevin of OR, William Decker and wife, Maureen of NY, Robert Decker and wife Deborah of CA, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.


Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Tom’s Life on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Renew Church – Hancock, 53 Elmwood Road, Hancock, NH 03449

(603-525-8151) Calling hours will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and his funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.
