Thomas J. Boyda, 74, resident of New Ipswich, NH died at his home after a period of declining health, surrounded by his loving family on September 26, 2017.

Born on January 11, 1943 in Worcester, MA a son of the late Francis and Mary (Ahern) Boyda.

Tom was raised and educated in the Worcester area and graduated from St. Johns High School and later attended Quinsigamond Community College.

He faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea while serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on July 25, 1967.

Tom married the love of his life, Maureen M. Foley on July 13,1969 in Worcester. He and Maureen would go on to move from Worcester to Millbury, MA and then later retiring up to New Ipswich, NH to take advantage of the quiet peaceful surroundings.

He worked at New England High Carbon wire in Millbury, MA then worked for many years at Mass Electric which is now known as National Grid out of the Worcester office. After retirement, Tom, was offered a job training new hires at New England Electric Systems in Millbury, MA.

Tom was a member of the Vernon Hill Post #435 and the Our Lady of Czestochowa St. Mary’s Boosters.

In addition to his parents, Tom, was predeceased by his brother, Michael “Buzz” Boyda.

Survivors include his loving wife, Maureen of New Ipswich, NH, his children; Daughter, Crystal and her husband Ian Rollins of Manchester, NH, Son, Thomas Boyda Jr. of Hubbardston, MA. His brothers; Francis Boyda of Auburn, MA and John Boyda of Manetta, GA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of his family.
