Timothy J. Bunk, 51, of Temple, NH died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough after a very brief illness.
He was born in Greenfield, MA on December 7, 1958, son of George and Patricia (Sauter) Bunk. He was a 1977 graduate of Greenfield High School and attended Greenfield Community College before earning a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Maine in Presque Isle in 1985.
Tim worked for many years at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield, NH. His caring nature and gentle ways helped while educating the adults and children who were physically and mentally challenged. More recently, he has been working at Hitchner Manufacturing in Milford, NH.
Tim enjoyed the great outdoors and was most at peace while working diligently around his home. He was devoted to his wife and family and especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered being very caring and for not having a mean bone in his body. Tim was an avid golfer, just like his dad. He also enjoyed baseball and football in his youth and later enjoyed the peaceful creativeness of cutting, splitting, and stacking wood for each heating season.
In addition to his parents of Shelburne Falls, MA, Tim is survived by his wife Laura (Duval) Bunk of Temple, three children, Deanne Solovei and her partner Kevin Pipher of Sharon, NH, Gregg Solovei of Peterborough, NH and Brian Solovei and his wife Lori of Sharon, NH; four grandchildren, Nathaniel and Sean Solovei, both of Sharon, NH, Dylan Pipher of Sharon, NH and DLeanne Solovei of Peterborough, NH; two sisters, Tishy-Linda Bunk of Los Angeles, CA and Deborah Bunk of Brookline, MA; one brother, David Bunk of Bethesda, MD; a nephew Samuel A. Bunk, and many close friends.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made in Tims name to the Bunk Children Education Fund, c/o TD Bank, 28 Main Street, Suite # 1, Jaffrey, NH 03452-4403
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Cathedral of the Pines, Cathedral Entrance Road in Rindge, NH.
