Walter Carl Sliviak

Walter Carl Sliviak, 71, of Jaffrey, New Hampshire passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, in his home. He was born January 9, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Walter I. Sliviak (2006), and Pauline (Piovesan) Sliviak.

Walter was raised in Allegheny Twp, PA. and was a 1967 graduate of Kiski Area High School in Vandergrift, PA. After graduation, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He was a very talented musician having played the accordion from a very young age, winning several local Lion's Club of Allegheny Twp talent shows. Along with the accordion, he also played piano throughout high school, college and the remainder of his life. He not only enjoyed playing music, but composing songs, as well.

Walter retired in 2018 after working for Elbit Systems of America (formerly known as Kollsman, INC) for 37 years. He was a Production Tech Associate and took pride in working on advanced technologies in commercial aviation.

In addition to his father, Walter was preceded in death by his wife Lisa (Stefanski) Sliviak in 2017, granddaughter Zarah Elsie Sliviak in 2018, and sister Barbara Sliviak in 2014.

He is survived by his mother Pauline (Piovesan) Sliviak of Sarver, PA., As well as his six children: Jason (Jennifer) Sliviak of Derry, NH; Paul (Shalini) Sliviak of Portland, OR; David Sliviak of Los Angeles, CA; Anna Sliviak of Summertown, TN; Michael (Brittney) Sliviak of Jaffrey, NH; and Emily Sliviak of Temple, NH. In addition, he is survived by seven grandchildren: Shianne, Luke, Jasper, Juniper, Ellie, David, and Izaiah.

Walter is also survived by four sisters: Janet Sliviak of Baltimore, MD; Rose Sabattini (Jim Haller) of Baden, Pa; Joyce Sliviak (Gary) Edmondson of Allegheny Twp, PA; Diane (Robert) Grant of Freeport PA, and his brother Gregory (Ruth) Sliviak of Pasadena, MD. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Walter loved God, family, friends and music.
