Edward Desmarais

JAFFREY, N.H. -- Edward D. Desmarais, 71, of Dublin Road, Jaffrey, N.H., died peacefully Friday, Jan. 12, at his home following a battle with cancer.
He was born March 12, 1935, in Manchester N.H., son of the late Edward and Alphonsine (Deshaies) Desmarais. He was a graduate of Conant High School and a lifelong resident of Jaffrey.
For the past 50 years, Eddie owned and operated E. Desmarais & Son Inc., a masonry business in Jaffrey that he had acquired from his father.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maureen (Scanlon) Desmarais of Jaffrey, as well as by many beloved children, grandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.

DESMARAIS -- Friday, Jan. 12, in Jaffrey, N.H. As per his request, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be private and at the convenience of the family.
